SABS and CEISLAB extend their collaboration
The South African certification body South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) and CEISLAB extend their collaboration agreement by which this body recognises our plastic pipe tests within its certification schemes.
This renewal shows the interest of the South African body to continue with the collaboration established with CEISLAB since 2016, confirming our ability to verify the compliance of the products with the requirements established in different standards, among which it is worth highlighting:
- SANS 4427: Plastics piping systems – Polyethylene (PE) pipes and fittings for water supply
- SANS 4437: Plastics piping systems for the supply of gaseous fuels – Polyethylene (PE)
- SANS 966-1: Unplasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC-U) pressure pipe systems
- SANS 791: Unplasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC-U) sewer and drain pipe and pipe fittings
In addition to South Africa, SABS certification has a high added value in other markets such as Zimbabwe and Angola.
The continuity of this collaboration reinforces the support that CEISLAB, as a testing laboratory, provides to national manufacturers, distributors or exporters of plastic pipes for the internationalisation of their products in global markets, confirming that CEISLAB is a leading and trusted provider of globally recognised functionality and safety assessments.
